Sacraments of Healing

Preparation for Reconciliation for children occurs as part of the Parish Sacramental Programme as explained in relation to confirmation and communion. Children will receive the sacrament in a modified Second Rite of reconciliation

The new Sacramental Guidelines provide for further introduction to the First Rite of Reconciliation when the child is in Year 5.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions Reconciliation is by appointment only , contact the Parish Office. 2nd Rite of Reconciliation is usually offered during Advent & Lent – COVID-19 restrictions permitting.

Communion to the sick in a private home or care facility is administered by the Parish Priest or Parish Volunteer upon request to the Parish Office, taking into consideration COVID-19 regulations and restrictions at the time.

One of the most difficult things parishioners have to do, is to come to terms with the death of a loved one and to arrange for a funeral at a time when they are grieving.

The Office Staff will be compassionate and supportive during this process. They will work cooperatively with the Funeral Director and the Priest to deal with all the formalities to reduce the stress for the bereaved.
