Baptism is most commonly administered to children when they are quite young.
In Our Lady of the Angels’ Parish, Infant baptisms are in general carried out on the First and Third Saturdays of the Month at St Gerard’s Church, Chermside West at 10.00 am and on the Second Saturday of the Month at St Paschal’s, Wavell Heights at 10.00 am. There may be occasions when, for various reasons, these general times will not apply.
Baptisms in both churches may be arranged by personal attendance at the Parish Office at St Gerard’s, 146 Maundrell Terrace, Chermside West, during Office Hours. A preliminary phone call would be appreciated.

Baptism of Older Children:
Children who have not been baptised by the time they reach school age need to have some understanding of the sacrament and will be required to attend baptism preparation sessions which will be provided at St Gerard’s usually over 3 weeks on Saturday afternoons. A parent will need to attend with the child. Please contact the Parish Office or the Sacramental Coordinator to make arrangements. Note that these classes are organised as required to fit in with the schedules of catechists. You need to make contact early so that your needs may be met.
Baptism of Teenagers and Adults
